A Historic Transformation
Craftsmanship and Custom Design in Every Detail

This project transformed a historic residence through the careful selection of various hardwoods, including red oak, white oak, alder, and maple, each contributing to the diverse palette of tones and textures that the design team envisioned. The striking custom indigo accents serve as a tribute to the region’s legacy in indigo dye production, adding depth to the aesthetic. Focused on enhancing usability, the design incorporated solid white oak bypass doors and specialized pantry pull-outs, as well as plate dividers and spice racks. Additionally, custom alder furniture pieces for the master suite reflect the design team’s commitment to craftsmanship. The vestibule showcases the elegance of solid mahogany lumber and veneers, finished with dye stains and oil-based antiquing glazes, further enriching the home’s historic character.
